Aims and Scope for Advanced Experimental Mechanics
Advanced Experimental Mechanics is an English journal published by the Japanese Society for Experimental Mechanics(JSEM) that publishes papers annually (End of August) in all areas of experimentation including its theoretical and computational analysis. Articles extending the frontiers of experimental mechanics at large and small scales are particularly welcomed.
Main research areas covered in the journal include:

Article Types to Be Submitted

| Technical Note: | Not accepted in principle, but original papers submitted can be accepted as a technical note by recommendation of the Associate Editor |
Key Dates for Next Issue Vol.11
Submission deadline for full-length manuscript:January 10, 2026
Publication date: End of August, 2026
If your manuscript is submitted before the above dead line, your paper will be reviewed sequentially and then accepted paper will be early released on the J-STAGE sequentially before the formal publication of AEM (Vol.11). If your manuscript submitted after the above dead line is accepted, your paper will be published in the next AEM (Vol.12); however, your paper will be early released on the J-STAGE sequentially before the formal publication of AEM (Vol.12).
